This month marks the conclusion of our 20th anniversary year at Ancient Peaks—and we have some fun facts to share with you.

This has been a year of celebration and reflection marked by exciting milestones along the way. Join us as we look back at some highlights from the past 12 months, and as we look forward to the new year ahead:

Last Grape Picked

Our estate Margarita Vineyard is always one of the last sites to be picked in Paso Robles, as it occupies one of the region’s coolest growing environments. Well, the harvest went deep into overtime this year after a mild spring and an unusually cool summer delivered one of the longest growing seasons in memory. Our last grape picked was Cabernet Sauvignon from the newer Quarry Block, which came off the vine on November 12, 2025!

Biggest Social Post

Not many wineries can say that one of their Instagram posts racked up more than 1 million views! But we did just that with our “Gone Fishing” comedy skit that generated a lot of laughs and reminded everyone that wine doesn’t always take itself too seriously. See it here.

Top Score(s)

It may be cold outside, but Ancient Peaks is staying hot in the mid 90s! This year’s highlights included 93 points from Wine Enthusiast for our 2021 Pearl Cabernet Sauvignon, which also racked up 94 points in Tasting Panel. The 2021 Oyster Ridge got 92 points in Wine Enthusiast and 94 in Tasting Panel, while the 2023 Zinfandel gained 91 points from James Suckling.

Best News Story

Renowned national news outlet Forbes gave Ancient Peaks top billing in a story about how regenerative organic viticulture is setting new global sustainability standards here in Paso Robles.  In the words of writer Louise Schiavone, “Ancient Peaks Winery has enthusiastically embraced regenerative farming among multiple sustainability efforts…A movement to uplift vineyards globally by changing the way grapes are grown is slowly gaining momentum among California’s Central Coast winemakers and setting its sights on vineyards beyond.” Read the full story here.

Best New Song

A standing ovation goes to local musical artist Jade Jackson—sister of Audrey Jackson, who paints the stunning art seen on our One Stone wines, which support wine industry nonprofit Dream Big Darling. Jade wrote and performed this inspiring song, which honors Dream Big Darling’s mission to mentor the next generation of women leaders in the wine industry. Watch the music video here.

Awesomest Event

The 4th annual Ancient Peaks Walk for Cancer proudly returned on October 26 and yielded its biggest return to date! In partnership with Winebow, we raised $12,000 from a sales drive of One Stone Pinot Noir and Ancient Peaks Cabernet Sauvignon, while the event itself generated $22,000—for a grand total of $34,000 raised for Central Coast cancer patients and their families, providing them with hope, education and support.
