Ancient Peaks ships wines throughout the United States, although some states have shipping restrictions in place. Please feel free to reach out to our team for more information on shipping to your state.
SHIPPING UPDATE:
Effective June 1, 2026
- UPS will make one delivery attempt. If a customer misses the first delivery attempt, UPS will automatically redirect the package to a nearby UPS Access Point rather than attempting delivery the next day.
- FedEx will attempt delivery three times before returning the wine shipment.
SUMMER SHIPPING
Ancient Peaks is dedicated to getting your wines to you throughout the warm summer months! We highly recommend using the temperature-controlled shipping option at check-out when available. You can switch to standard shipping at checkout if you’d like, though we highly recommend keeping it — just note it may add a few extra days to your delivery window.
California Shipments
Only ship ground and are usually delivered the next day. CA orders ship on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
Out of State Shipments
Temperature-Controlled Shipping
For certain states outside of California, we offer temperature-controlled shipping. This entails your wines being transported from the Paso Robles facility in a refrigerated truck to a carrier hub dependent on the final destination. Once it arrives, we add an ice pack for the final leg of the trip to your doorstep! This ensures that your wines are transported safely and stay cool throughout the entire shipment. Shipping costs vary and are displayed at check-out. Please note that the transit time with temperature-controlled shipping is 10-15 days and require a signature at delivery. There will also be a delay in receiving tracking information while the wines are on the refrigerated truck. You will receive tracking information one day before the first delivery attempt.
Temperature Controlled Shipping is available for the following states: DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, KA, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, MO, NE, NH, NM, NY, NC, ND, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WI.
UPS / FedEx 2-Day Air
We offer 2-Day Air shipping via UPS or FedEx. Orders ship out on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. If you would like to request a specific ship date, please reach out to our team at (805) 365-7045.
SHIPPING POLICIES
Ancient Peaks Winery currently ships to ALL states in the United States excluding: AL, AR, CT, DE, GU, KY, LA, MS, NJ, RI, SD, UT, VT, WV.
During warm weather months, your order may be placed on a “weather hold” if the conditions do not allow us to ship your wines safely. The Ancient Peaks Winery team will contact you if so and plan a future date for your wines to be shipped.
For all applicable states, you have the option of selecting one of three shipping services. During the summer months, your shipping service will default to temperature-controlled shipping (if available). Please note that you are able to select your preferred service online at check-out, or by contacting our team at (805) 365-7045.
Adult Signature is Required at Delivery for all wine shipments. Alcoholic beverages may only be sold and delivered to persons who are at least 21 years old. By purchasing wine, the buyer is presenting that they are at least 21 years of age and that the person who the wine will be delivered to is at least 21 years of age. By law, a signature is required for delivery of wine.
If severe weather events are forecasted, including heat, orders may be held from shipping until conditions are favorable.
Club shipments: Members are subject to a fee if their club shipment is redirected or intercepted after the specified last day to change their shipping address or shipment date. Returned shipments are subject to the additional cost of reshipping. If you are unable to make arrangements to receive your wines, please contact our team.
RETURN POLICY
Ancient Peaks Winery is committed to working with our partners to deliver your wines safely for enjoyment. Please contact our team directly if your shipment received includes any damaged bottles with 48 hours of delivery. Please keep the original package(s) and its contents exactly as you found them. Ancient Peaks wines are stored in a temperature-controlled environment upon being shipped. Any claim due to a defect in the product will be addressed on a case-by-case basis, and a replacement bottle may be offered. Wine cannot be returned without prior approval from Ancient Peaks Winery.
