We are pleased to share that Ancient Peaks is in the spotlight with a new feature story by wine writer Kathleen Willcox in The Vintner Project.

Titled Coastal Symbiosis: In Praise of Authentic Americana, the story documents a recent wine dinner in Upstate New York featuring our brand ambassador Laura Balderelli and the wines of Ancient Peaks. As Willcox writes, “The occasion was a wine dinner that paired Ancient Peaks wines from Paso Robles, California with a five-course menu plucked from the fields and farms of Upstate New York at the mountain chic Whiteface Lodge in Lake Placid.”

Along the way, the story reveals the heritage and hospitality that go to the heart of the Ancient Peaks experience, through the eyes and words of co-owner Karl Wittstrom.

Willcox writes, “For Ancient Peaks and Whiteface Lodge, Elise Ruocco (the lodge’s marketing manager) says their mutual commitment to local community engagement and sustainability—through minimizing environmental impacts at the hotel and supporting local philanthropic initiatives—brought them together on paper. The rest happened on the plate and in the glass.”
