Jalapeño Cranberry Sauce

Try a Thanksgiving favorite in the Filipponi house that pairs delightfully with Ancient Peaks Zinfandel!

Our jalapeño cranberry sauce has become a staple for the holiday table. It’s a great way to add a little kick to a holiday favorite. From our Thanksgiving table to yours, enjoy! – Kathy Filipponi

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb. cranberries
  • 1 jalapeño
  • 1 Tbsp. orange, zest
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water

METHOD

  • In a medium-sized saucepan, combine all the ingredients. Bring the mixture to a boil and then reduce the heat to a simmer.
  • Mash your cranberries periodically while stirring the mixture occasionally.
  • Simmer the mixture together for about 15-20 minutes or until the sauce is reduced and thick.
  • Pair with Zinfandel!
