VISITING ANCIENT PEAKS TASTING ROOM & CAFÉ

Q: What is the ambiance of the Tasting Room?
A: We offer a laid-back, casual atmosphere to taste our estate-grown wines. Our Tasting Room includes a full Café menu with classic cheese & charcuterie, to one of the best burgers on the Central Coast, to refreshing salads and amazing sandwiches.

Q: How much is it to taste wines at Ancient Peaks?
A: Our tasting list is $20 per person, complimentary for Ancient Peaks Club Members, or waived with a two-bottle purchase. We offer 5 wines and rotate through wines monthly. Club Members receive a sixth tase of our current favorite library wine.

Q: Do you have outdoor seating?
A: Yes, we offer patio seating, covered by a pergola with some sunny spots and some shady spots depending on the time of day.

Q: Do you have indoor seating or standing bar area?
A: We offer both. We have seated tables inside, high-top tables, a seated bar area in the Cinnamon Room, and standing bar area.

Q: Are you dog-friendly? 
A: Yes! We love when you bring your furry friends with you. Our patio is first-come first-serve, so we recommend making a reservation and letting us know that you are bringing your dogs with you.

Q: Are you kid-friendly?
A: Absolutely! We ask that with you include kids of all ages in your total guest count when reserving for wine tasting & lunch.

Q: Do you allow walk-ins? 
A: Yes, we allow walk-ins. Reservations are recommended and can be made through Tock here.

Q: Which wine varietals do you produce?
A: Ancient Peaks is a Cabernet Sauvignon house that also offers other varietals such as: Chardonnay, Malbec, Pinot Noir, Sangiovese, and many more. Our full list of wines is available here!

Q: What parking do you offer?
A: We have a paved parking lot directly next to the Tasting Room. Once full, there is plenty of street parking within downtown Santa Margarita.

Q: Can you accommodate large party reservations of 8 or more people?
A: We do accept large party reservations and work closely with your group to ensure a smooth and pleasant experience at Ancient Peaks. To book a reservation for 8 or more guests, please call the Tasting Room at (805) 365-7045, or email our team at info@apwinery.com

Q: I’m traveling to your winery and want to be able to purchase wine. Can I ship it home?
A: Yes, our team will be happy to ship your favorite wines to your home. We can plan the shipping date for when you arrive or have someone there to sign for the shipment.

VISITING AP BY THE SEA – CAMBRIA TASTING ROOM

Q: Where is AP By the Sea located?
A: Our Cambria Tasting Room, AP By the Sea, is located within the Pelican Inn & Suites right next to the lobby. You may park in the parking lot for Pelican Inn, or the dirt lot right before you turn into the hotel.

Q: Do you offer any discounts for online purchases?
A: We offer 10% on any case (12 bottles) purchase for non-club members at all times online. This will automatically apply in your cart.

Q: Can I purchase wines for pick-up online?
A: Yes! Add your favorite wines to your cart, and make sure to choose “Pick Up” when checking out, or click the “Delivery” tab to change your delivery option.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

Q: What states do you ship to?
A: We currently ship to the following states: AK, AZ, CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, IN, IA, KS, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, MO, MT, NE, NV, NH, NJ, NM, NY, NC, ND, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, WA, WV, WI, WY.

Q: Do you offer shipping discounts?
A: Ancient Peaks Club Members receive flat-rate shipping on all orders with a subtotal of $300 or more, with the exception of specific promotions.

Q: How much is shipping?
A: Shipping costs depend on how many bottles you purchase. Call or text (805) 365-7045, or email info@apwinery.com for specific rates!

Q: Which shipping services do you use?
A: We ship all wines through UPS, FedEx, or GLS. You may choose your preferred shipping service during check-out. UPS and FedEx offer temperature controlled shipments during the summer months. Ancient Peaks utilizes refrigerated trucks and coolpaks to haid in proper delivery of wine shipments.

Q: Do you offer delivery to access points?
A: Yes, we ship to UPS access points throughout the U.S.

Q: What happens if I’m not home when they attempt to deliver my wines?
A: Starting June 1, 2026, UPS will make one delivery attempt. If a customer misses the first delivery attempt, UPS will automatically redirect the package to a nearby UPS Access Point rather than attempting delivery the next day. FedEx will attempt delivery three times before returning the wine shipment.
