FEATURED WINES
2024 SAUVIGNON BLANC – PEARL COLLECTION
This wine was wholly fermented and aged in French oak barrels to create a distinctive Sauvignon Blanc with singular depth and texture.
FOOD PAIRING
The Pearl Sauvignon Blanc’s texture and complexity opens up a world of pairing possibilities including pork chops, creamy herb pasta, brie cheese, lobster, and rich seafood dishes.
TASTING NOTES
The 2024 Sauvignon Blanc Pearl Collection is highly textural on the palate, unfolding with mouthwatering flavors of citrus, pineapple, green apple and herbs. Tangy acidity carries into a fresh, fleshy finish. A uniquely expressive and expansive.
2023 CABERNET SAUVIGNON – PEAKS COLLECTION
This “everyday drinker” Cabernet Sauvignon is the longtime flagship wine of Ancient Peaks. At our estate Margarita Vineyard, Cabernet Sauvignon achieves both ripeness and balance amid one of the region’s coolest, longest growing seasons, all while drawing natural complexity from the vineyard’s uniquely complex soils.
FOOD PAIRING
This is an elegant Cabernet Sauvignon that shines with food. Recommended pairings include New York strip steak, duck breast, rack of lamb, portobello mushrooms and aged cheeses.
TASTING NOTES
The 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon is aromatically nuanced with scents of violet, black cherry, mulberry and tobacco, while hints of leather, cocoa dust and vanilla emerge with time in the glass. A deep, juicy mouthfeel envelops the palate with fresh flavors of red currant, cherry, black plum, tea and earthy loam accompanied by notes of cedar and caramel. Bright tannins carry into a fresh, structured finish.

2022 QUARRY CABERNET SAUVIGNON
Bold cabernet, great with braised short rib and great company. After harvesting, the fruit was gently destemmed and the must was cold soaked for 48 hours prior to fermentation for a smooth extraction of color and flavor. Detailed phenolic management allowed for the development of a full, round mouthfeel during fermentation. After fermentation, the wine was racked to French and American oak barrels, where it aged for 20 months prior to blending and bottling. All of the new wood (40%) was French oak, enhancing the overall integration and sophistication of the experience.
FOOD PAIRING
This wonderfully complex Cabernet Sauvignon makes a great match for braised short ribs, veal shanks, lamb medallions, and beef stew with carrots and mint.
TASTING NOTES
The 2022 vintage is fragrant and floral with warm aromas of plum, herb, olive, caramel and cinnamon. Soft, layered textures deliver luscious blue and black fruits accompanied by earthy suggestions of tobacco and truffle. Inviting varietal accents of mint leaf and eucalyptus add distinction to a supple, cedary finish

2022 MALBEC – PEARL COLLECTION
Malbec excels at our estate Margarita Vineyard, where it benefits from one of the coolest growing environments in the Paso Robles region. To craft this limited-edition Malbec, we chose a selection of 22 exemplary barrels to offer a rare showcase for the variety.
FOOD PAIRING
This 2022 Malbec is a wonderful pairing for duck breast with a berry compote glaze.
TASTING NOTES
The 2022 Malbec presents fruity aromas of cherry, mulberry, plum skin and sage with hints of graham cracker. A round, jammy mouthfeel brings flavors of pomegranate and red currants entwined with elegant notes of cola, dusty raspberry and dried herb. Vivid acidity carries into a fresh, cedary finish.

2021 PETITE SIRAH – PEARL COLLECTION
Petite Sirah is a heritage California grape that has been a mainstay at Ancient Peaks since day one, by way of co-owner Karl Wittstrom’s family vineyard in the rolling foothills of northwest Paso Robles. The warmer areas of our region have proven to be ideal for this distinctive grape variety, making Paso Robles the preeminent epicenter of California Petite Sirah. All of its regional hallmarks are on display in our 2021 vintage: bold, decadent, spicy and balanced.
TASTING NOTES
This 2022 Malbec is a wonderful pairing for duck breast with a berry compote glaze.
WINEMAKING
While Petite Sirah is the most naturally hedonistic of our wines, Winemaker Stewart Cameron aims to harness it with balance and structure. After hand harvesting and destemming, the fruit was cold soaked for two days to foster gentle extraction of color, flavor, and tannin. During fermentation, the must was pumped over three times daily to ensure continued soft extraction. After fermentation, the lots underwent extended aging for 23 months in French and American oak barrels (50% new). The barrels were made predominantly with medium-plus tasting to complement the Petite Sirah’s intense character with a darker, smokier oak influence.
